Bowlers Ring in 2008 with Two Tourneys, VIP Hammer Bash
HOPKINSVILLE, Kent.
Hammer will start off the new year with a bang at the inaugural
Hammer New Year's Bash. Held in conjunction with two tournaments in Muncie, Ind.,
on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day, bowlers can ring in the New Year and compete
for great payoffs as well as enjoy the 2007 New Year���s Eve VIP Hammer Bash.
"Hammer has had a great 2007! The Black Widow series is the hottest series in
Hammer history. Doug Kent and Billy Oatman won honors on Tour. It's just been
fantastic," said Brian Graham, brand manager. "What better way to celebrate this
year and usher in the new one than a huge party with a few hundred Hammerheads?"

he event kicks off on New Year's Eve with the Hammer Singles Challenge at Clancy's
Village Bowl. Also an inaugural tournament, the Hammer Singles Challenge will
pay a top prize of $1000 in the Singles and Doubles Event with 100 entries. Bowlers
are invited to Stryker's Sports Pub inside the center for drinks, food, music
and prizes from Hammer. Hammerhead Happy Hour begins after the tournament and
a live band will play from 9 p.m. - 2 a.m.
On the first day of 2008, bowlers can cruise over to Munsee Lanes for the Hammer
Hangover Doubles Tournament. With an anticipated first prize of $1000 and a one
in six prize ratio, bowlers who are still ringing in the New Year can take advantage
of five available squad times.
