HOPKINSVILLE,
Kent. – The original Hammer Blue urethane bowling ball went down in
bowling history in the 1980s. But, much like horror characters Freddy
and Jason, this legend is being resurrected in 2003. Introducing: the
Hammer Big Blue which will be terrorizing bowling lanes everywhere.
“Hammer Blue is a legendary urethane ball. We’ve adapted that ball’s
tough-as-nails design with our revolutionary particle technology to
make Big Blue stronger than the original. Really, stronger than any
other product out there,” said Ed Gallagher, product manager of Hammer
Bowling.
Hammer Big Blue is a turbo-charged version of its predecessor,
specifically designed to dominate in today’s slicker environment.
Powered by Hammer’s first-ever high mass bias core, the Gas Mask Core,
Big Blue features a dual particle veneer that gives Hammerheads control
in both medium to heavy oil conditions. Its strong backend continuation
guarantees Big Blue a position in bowing’s future.
In addition, Big Blue showcases Hammer’s newest coverstock,
PowerH.I.T.‚Ñ¢(Hammer Innovative Technology). PowerH.I.T.‚Ñ¢ is a dual
particle veneer composed of silica particle as well as a new particle
that offers more durability. The new particle is pliable and does not
shatter like other particles being used in the market today. Pieces of
shattered particle can coat the coverstock of balls and reduce the
amount of contact the ball’s veneer has with the lane surface.
PowerH.I.T.‚Ñ¢ alleviates this issue and allows Big Blue to consistently
perform with each throw.
Hammer Big Blue is now available ithrough pro shops and distributors worldwide
in 12-16 pounds. |
