HOPKINSVILLE, Kent. - Hammer Bowling has once again become the bowling company for today's aggressive, bold, no-holds-barred bowlers. New Hammer pro staffers Jeff Lizzi and Michael Machuga make no bones about it: they are out to dominate the PBA Tour in 2003.

A stalwart in the PBA, Jeff Lizzi was looking to make a change. Known as "Popeye" on Tour, Lizzi has been a member of the PBA for almost two decades. He captured his first career title in 1992 at the Brunswick Memorial World Open. Since that victory, Lizzi has cashed in at over 100 tournaments bringing his career earnings to $461,653.
"Hammer has made an unprecedented comeback in the past year. Their products scream power, domination - exactly what I plan to embody as a Hammer pro staff member," said Lizzi.
"We look for Mike to develop his niche on Tour as a powerhouse player using Hammer equipment," said Ed Gallagher, product manager for Hammer. "We now have a diverse trio of power players on Tour with Mike and Jeff joining Patrick Allen. It's going to be fun to watch these guys."

In 2002, Hammer Bowling released three new ball series, the Blade&Mac217;, Diesel&Mac217; and Vicious&Mac217;, as well as the Hammer Everclear&Mac217;. In addition, Hammer created its men's pro staff with PBA player Patrick Allen and its amateur staff with Mike Bixler, winner of the 2002 Super Hoinke Classic.
