PATRICK ALLEN COMMITS TO HAMMER

Hopkinsville, Ky. - It's been said that users of Hammer have attitudes, they like to win, and they'll let you know when the W goes in their column. Hammer Product Manager Ed Gallagher has absolutely no problem with that, actually he loves it, and so he's added Patrick Allen to Hammer's professional staff.

"Hammer is doing some really fascinating things," said the 32-year old Allen. "I'm looking forward to being a part of the company as a representative. I think we fit each other perfectly. It will be fun to threaten someone that I can Beat 'em with a Hammer."

The hard-core New Yorker is know for his in-your-face trash talk, that he backs up with a powerful game. Fans remember his Taylor, Mich. national title bout in 2001 when Allen faced bowling legend Ernie Schlegel in match play. The two verbally abused each other back and forth until Allen left the center with the win and advanced to the finals.

"When I'm trashing someone, it is just part of the game," said Allen. "When the game's over, it's over, unless I really don't like you."

P.A., as he's often called, has cashed in $147,383 career earnings since joining the PBA in 1999 and lays claim to seven PBA 300 games. In the 2001-2002 season, Allen bowled 27 national tournaments and collected $107,121.

"He's a player to look out for this season," said Gallagher. "We wouldn't have recruited him if we didn't think he'd be able to crush a few people."

Ebonite International acquired Hammer from Faball earlier this year. Since then, Hammer has launched three new series of balls: the Vicious, Blade, and Diesel as well as an Everclear.
