HAMMER ANSWERS INDUSTRY CRIES FOR BIG BLUE PEARL

HOPKINSVILLE, Kent. – From the best-selling Vicious series to the Hammer Tool Chest, Hammer Bowling is always pushing the envelope, taking their products to the next level and bringing their bowlers’ game with them up the ladder of success. Why? Because that’s what Hammerheads demand and when they want it, they get it. Introducing Hammer’s newest high-performance ball… Big Blue Pearl.

“With solid product offerings and knowledge of what bowlers need, the Hammer brand has quickly assumed a position of leadership since its resurrection in 2003,” said Ed Gallagher, product manager for Hammer. “True to the plan, the Hammer Big Blue has become one of our flagship balls, actually bringing more Hammerheads into the fold. And, they’re begging for more…more hook, more backend recovery, more Big Blue. So, we’ve answered their cries with our new Big Blue Pearl.”

Powered by a Gas Mask core, the same high mass bias core found in Big Blue, Big Blue Pearl features a dual particle veneer that gives Hammerheads control in both medium to heavy oil conditions. While Big Blue offers a strong arching motion, Big Blue Pearl was designed to harness unbelievable backend recovery with its skid-flip motion.

Big Blue Pearl’s aggressive coverstock, PowerH.I.T.™(Hammer Innovative Technology) is responsible for the ball’s clean motion that picks up hook in the backend of the lane. PowerH.I.T.™ is a dual particle veneer composed of silica particle as well as a new particle that offers more durability. Because the new particle is pliable, it will not shatter like other particles being used in the market today and keeps Big Blue Pearl in contact with the lane all the way to tremendous pinfall.

Big Blue Pearl, 12 – 16 pounds, will be available from distributors and pro shops on February 16 in trademark Hammer blue with gold accents.

“Originally we planned to introduce Big Blue Pearl this summer, then we received a barrage of phone calls, asking when Big Blue was going to be available in Pearl, and decided that we couldn’t keep this product from consumers any longer. The first person to use my Pearl test ball bowled a 300 game and finished with a 816 series,” said Gallagher.
