Uses The Big Deal and Switch Blade to Win PBA Denny's World Championship

HOPKINSVILLE, Kent.
Hammer pro staffer Patrick Allen took his third title this season and his first career major at the 2005 PBA Denny's World Championship, April 3, 2005. He defeated Chris Loschetter, 235-210, in the televised final for the $120,000 prize and a four-year Tour exemption.

"Patrick is a great performer and showman on the lanes," said Brian Graham, Hammer brand manager. "His leadership is taking the Hammer brand to the top of the pack and we're thrilled to be along for the ride."

For the final match, Allen used Hammer's The Big Deal on the left lane and the Switch Blade on the right lane. He struck and converted a 7-pin in his first two frames before striking on his next six shots.

The victory puts Allen, a lefty from Tarrytown, New York, in hot pursuit of PBA Player of the Year. With this win, he captured the 2004-05 PBA World Point Rankings title this week and also leads the Tour with $344,740 in season earnings, the second-highest mark in Tour history. Allen, in his third year as a Hammer Tour staffer, has won five career PBA Tour titles.

"I really wanted this title and the purse and the exemption make this victory extra sweet," said Allen.
