HAMMER NEWSHAMMER NAILS IT WITH SMOKE AND FIRE07/09/2012
Hammer’s newest entry in the Mid-Price bowling ball market is the Nail Smoke and Fire, and with its proven core and cover, this ball is sure to spark some great scores on the lanes. The new Nail’s core is the same core used in the Raw Hammer Doom, also known as the Doom core. Bowlers have seen great success with the cores in that series, so it was important for the brand to continue using such a popular core. The Doom core is wrapped with the Shredder Reactive™ Pearl coverstock, giving the ball an FCC rating of 12. Hammer’s FCC system rates the performance of the Finish, Cover, and Core of each ball so that consumers can value the overall performance of the ball. “The Nail comes in a Smoke and Fire Pearl color that is sure to catch everyone’s eye on the lanes,” explained Jeff Ussery, Hammer Brand Manager. “The goal was to create a great-looking product that fits perfectly between the Vibe and Arson series, and to give Hammer bowlers a symmetric-core polished-ball option in the lineup. The Nail does the trick.” The Nail’s surface has a 4000 grit Abralon® finish with Powerhouse™ Factory Finish Ball Polish. The result is great length and a devastating backend motion on medium to dry lane conditions. “Hammer fans can expect to see far more reaction from the Nail than last year’s Grape Vibe, with more hook and entry angle through the pin deck,” said Ussery. “The downlane recovery of this ball is outstanding, and bowlers with a variety of styles will have success with it.” The new Hammer Nail Smoke and Fire is now available through Hammer pro shop partners, in 12-16 lbs. « Go Back ----------------------
