Hammer’s O’Neill named to BJI First Team
Hammer bowling’s Bill O’Neill was among the top five players named to the Bowlers Journal International’s First Team All-American for the 2009-2010 season.
“It is gratifying being named to the Bowlers Journal First Team,” O’Neill said. “It’s always a goal to be one of the best, so to be named to a team with the likes of Walter Ray Williams Jr., just proves my game is up there with the best.”
O’Neill had a stellar 2009-2010 season, earning $147,275 along with two Lumber Liquidator Professional Bowler Association Tour titles, including his first Major with the U.S. Open. He also made five television appearances and cashed in 18 of 19 events, according to the PBA stats.
But it was something he couldn’t have done without the support of Hammer products and its staff.
“It’s no coincidence that I had my best year of my career throwing Hammer products,” he said. “Our product line is as good as we have ever had and it is looking even better for the upcoming year. With the continued help of Jeff Ussery, Del Ballard and Mark Baker, my goals will once again be to make the Bowlers Journal First Team and to finish what I started last year by winning the PBA Player of the Year.”
O’Neill, who signed with Hammer in 2008, tied with Williams for Player of the Year but was narrowly edged into second place.
“We are thrilled with Bill being named to the BJI First Team All-American,” said Hammer Brand Manager Jeff Ussery. “He is an asset to our brand and his continued success only proves that Nothing Hits Like A Hammer.”
