NEW HAMMER BACKLASH BALLS FILL DRY LANE NEEDS
A severe Backlash is about to hit the bowling world.
Hammer’s new bowling ball series, the Backlash, will make an impact with two new color combinations. Both balls utilize a two piece core design, the Saucer core. While the core properties have a higher RG (radius of gyration), the core has a lower differential.
The key in the performance of each of these balls, however, is the performance of their coverstocks.
The Backlash Blue/Silver combination has a Max-Control ReactiveTM coverstock, with a four step finish – 800 grit Abranet®, 1000, 2000, and 4000 grit Abralon®.
The Backlash Red/Purple combination has a Max-Length ReactiveTM coverstock, with a three step finish - 800 grit Abranet®, 1000 and 2000 grit Abralon® and a coat of Powerhouse Factory Finish Polish.
Both balls fill a need within the Hammer line to provide a competitive product for dry lanes. There is a difference in motion of two to three boards on the lanes at a time when bowlers are left with little oil and little options.
Hammer staff players are already finding success with Backlashes. Both Michael Shirley and Adam Barta shot perfect games, Shirley with an 844 series and Barta with an 825.
“The Backlash balls have been extremely well received so far with Hammerheads across the world,” said Jeff Ussery, Hammer Brand Manager. “We finally have a great 2-piece core option in entry-level price point, giving our Hammer customers two complimentary ball motions for medium-dry to dry lane conditions. Lash out at the competition this year with the Backlash!” The Hammer Backlash line is available now at your local bowling pro shop.
