PABCON YOUTH CHAMPIONSHIPS BEGIN SUNDAY IN PUERTO RICO
ARLINGTON, Texas - Junior Team USA will take on the rest of the top youth bowlers in the American Zone when the 2013 Pan American Bowling Confederation Youth Championships get underway Sunday.
Competition will take place at Bolera Caribe just outside Ponce, Puerto Rico, and will award medals in singles, doubles, trios, team, all-events and match-play Masters.
Representing the United States in the boys division will be Kamron Doyle of Brentwood, Tenn., Matthew Farber of Plainview, N.Y., Wesley Low of Palmdale, Calif., and Gregory Young of Viera, Fla.
On the girls side, Junior Team USA is sending Natalie Goodman of O’Fallon, Ill., Sarah Lokker of New Baltimore, Mich., Robyn Renslow of Brentwood, Calif., and Mary Wells of Westerville, Ohio.
The PABCON Youth Championships begin Sunday with the singles event and continue Monday with doubles. Trios will be held Tuesday followed by team event on Wednesday and Thursday. The championships conclude with the Masters competition on Friday.
At the 2011 PABCON Youth Championships in the Dominican Republic, Junior Team USA brought home three gold medals, six silver medals and three bronze medals.
