02/03/2008
HOPKINSVILLE, Kent.
Using a Hammer Cherry Vibe, eleven-year-old Aaron Ruiz
smashed his way into the record books at Hermitage Lanes in Nashville, Tenn.,
on January 5 by becoming the youngest bowler in the state to roll a 300 game.
Ruiz dominated the lanes and also cinched a high series of 668.
"As bowling continues to gain momentum among young athletes, we are proud to
hear about the accomplishments of bowlers like Aaron,” said Jeff Ussery, Hammer
brand manager. "He is exemplary of the new generation of competitors that will
enable this sport to continue to thrive."
No stranger to the lanes, Ruiz has pursued bowling since he was three years old.
He previously scored a high series of 650 and a high game of 289. He currently
holds a 192 average at Hermitage Lanes. Ruiz is a sixth grade student at Oliver
Middle School.
