This past season was a great year for Hammer! Doug Kent, the 2007 PBA Player of the Year, finished the year solid with a nice finish at the U.S. Open. While Tony Reyes was on injury deferment, he’s back and ready to go in 2008. Billy Oatman continues to improve upon his PBA Rookie of the Year season, and has a very nice 2007.

"Hammer had a nice season on the PBA tour, and we’ve got big things planned for the coming season," said Jeff Ussery, Hammer brand manager. "I’m so excited to have this team of bowlers and professionals on staff with Hammer, and I know big things are in store for these PBA pros."

"Doug's a veteran of the Tour and all-around great guy. His experience and determination are matched by few of his peers. Tony has a great presence on the lanes and he's been a loyal Hammer bowler since his childhood. Billy's got a spark and charisma that others try to emulate because he's so much fun to watch. You watch him and you can see the focus he puts into every shot. With this team in place, we can't go wrong."

Doug, who owns two bowling centers with his wife, Chrissie, resides in Newark, New York, and has been bowling on Tour since 1988. During that time, he has posted nine career wins. Doug holds two major titles to his credit, including the USBC Masters and the PBA World Championships. With these wins, he became the sixth bowler in Tour history to win two Major Championships in one season. Doug had a solid season on the PBA tour in 2007, and is looking forward to a fantastic 2008!

Tony Reyes, a fourth-year Hammer staffer, captured his first career title in the 06-07 season at the Motor City Classic. Most notably, Tony will forever be remembered for his stellar performance, firing off the 17th televised 300-game in the 48-year history of the Tour.  Tony spent 2007 on injury deferment with the PBA as he suffered through injuries, but he’s prepared for a solid season in 2008. A San Bruno, California man, he was on the San Jose State bowling team from 1992-95 and was named First Team All-America in 1993 and '95. Tony joined the PBA Tour in 1997 and earned his exemption by winning The Final Frame event presented by the Tour in 2005.

Known as "Billy O," Billy finished the 2007 year as the "cut" number. Billy performed outstanding in the closing weeks to earn his 2008 exemption! Billy, who hails from Chicago, is the first African-American and, at 41 years old, the oldest bowler in PBA history to earn PBA Rookie of the Year honors. Billy performed very steady throughout the 2007 season and is looking forward to winning his first title in 2008! The upcoming season will be Billy's third year with Hammer.
