Hammer Staff

Bill O’Neill, a first-year Hammer staffer, resides in the Southampton, PA area. The PBA Rookie of the Year (2005-2006) has continually built on his bowling career, starting out at Saginaw Valley State University. The three-time Bowling Writers Association of America Collegiate Bowler of the Year (2001, 2003, 2004) is quickly becoming one of the finest players on the PBA tour. After winning Rooke of the Year honors in 2005-06, Bill continued to work hard on his physical and mental game. Bill saw his greatest success in the 2008-2009 season, cashing in 20 out of 20 tournaments, and making matchplay in 18 out of those 20 opportunities. Bill advanced to the PBA television finals in 7 of those 20 tournaments. Bill also led the PBA tour in average in 2008-2009, and finished second in television appearances.
