I'm not a big fan of this particular weight block and I used this as an experimentation for a layout I have been wanting to try. My pap is 4 1/2 → and 1.5 ↑ with that being said, I drilled it 100 x 6 (VAL angle is irrelevant). I am pretty astonished with the results. Not only do I get superior length, the carbon fiber outer really packs a punch!
I punched up the Fugitive on January 3rd and its been off to the races ever since. Out the box I shot 279/759, January 10th I shot 300/791, January 17 I shot 279/707, and on January 24th I bowled 258,279,287 for 824 series. I love the ball so much I ended up buying another one and drilling it pin down. This ball looks so pretty going down the lane and just shreds the rack. Thank you so much for providing such great equipment.
Hammer is back and is introducing a new mid-performance release that is intended to underpromise and over deliver. The Fugitive is Hammer’s first mid-performance release out of the Brands of Brunswick manufacturing plant. This bowling ball is a gorgeous red and silver combination and pearlized in coverstock. Fugitive features a lower RG and is higher differential symmetrical core which yields ideal results for most bowlers!
With weight holes being outlawed, I tried a slightly different layout as the CG placement shouldn’t make a difference on the motion. I used a standard pin placement for me using a dual angle layout of 35 x 5 x 35 if you’re a fan of the vector system this will be a 5” x 3” x 2.5” given you are using an imaginary PSA/MB 6.75” from the pin through the CG. This bowling ball is the real deal and like I stated to start the review, under promised and over delivered! This ball is not my first choice out of the bag, but it will always be in my bag for when the lanes begin to transition. The shinier coverstock really allows the ball to produce that skid/flip motion that all of us bowlers love to see.
The Vibe series from Hammer is iconic and this Fugitive is a beefed up VIbe. If you are in need of a bowling ball that you can really chase the oil left with, this Fugitive should be your first choice. Being a “mid-performance” release, you’re getting proven coverstock and core technology; a textbook “win-win” scenario!
This ball is absolutely amazing. This is one of my go to balls when I am bowling on house and all my bigger balls start to burn up. This ball is clean through the fronts with a predictable and controllable back end. When show casing this ball through video I was able to play right and I was able to get it to recover from deep. This one is a no brainer and I would suggest it to all different styles of bowlers.
The first midline pearl under the Brands of Brunswick. This thing is SUPER clean through the front and extraordinarily angular down lane. This is not going to be the first ball out of your bag. When there is a spot that is creating some mega hook on the lane, get ready to move left and just throw the Fugitive at the spot and watch It pop down lane.
I did this ball pin down to add a little more predictability. Something I like doing with mid line pearls. It gives me more predictability when I go left to right and isn't uncontrollable when going more up the lane.
If you need your next pearl ball, grab a Fugitive.
