I’ve been bowling for years and made a major jump recently from a 173 average to performing near 208 across nine games a week. This ball is the reason the transition accelerated.
The Zero Mercy Solid is not just strong, it is predictable. Once I adjusted my speed to around 16.5, the entry angle became undeniable. The difference in carry showed up immediately. What used to be flat hits turned into strikes that drive through the deck.
My highest set with this ball is 685 and my floor has continued to rise even on nights where I make mistakes. That is the real test. This ball does not punish you for being human, it rewards you for being disciplined.
What stands out most is continuation. It doesn’t quit through the pins. Even when I miss slightly, it finds a way to stay alive and carry. That kind of forgiveness at this level is rare.
I bowl nine games a week, keep the ball professionally maintained, and it continues to perform. I trusted it enough that my entire family is now throwing the same ball and seeing results.
This is not a hype piece. This is performance.
If you understand your speed and trust your release, this ball will give you a level of consistency that most players never reach.
I didn’t just find a ball. I found control.
As a PSO, I can say unequivocally, this ball will not stay on the shelves. Backordered on three separate occasions by some of the largest distributors in the country, people can’t get enough of the strongest ball they’ve ever thrown. From a personal perspective, it’s too strong for my leagues, but I can’t think of any tournament pattern over 40 ft. Where I won’t take it?! A must have for oil!
The Zero Mercy Solid is just a traction monster. This ball digs in and reads the midlane beautifully. It feels smooth but powerful — not jerky or unpredictable. It’s strong without being uncontrollable.
What I really like is how it blends the pattern. When the lanes are tricky or I need something that won’t overreact, this ball gives me confidence. It doesn’t burn up; it just keeps driving.
I drilled this ball with a 40 x 5 x 60, pin down layout. First thought was that this ball flat out hooks. It reads the mids early and strong, but retains a lot of energy and continues left off the deck. This is one of the first HP Hammer balls that I have had in a while, where I didn't have to bring the surface up or shine it so it didn't burn up. I think this ball would be a great first ball out of the bag, a great ball for tournaments and be very beneficial to lower rev players!
My average is 155. Picked up Zero Mercy on Saturday, 2nd game rolled a 201. League play on Monday netted 201/187/230 for my first ever 600 series. This ball is nothing short of amazing. The explosive power coupled with consistent breaking point are two attributes I can attest.
