The Redemption Hybrid brings you the best of both worlds between the Solid and the Pearl. Not only does the Hybrid allow me to get through the oil on a variety of patterns but it saves all the juice for down lane when I need it to make that turn and destroy the pins. The Hybrid has allowed me to not only play up the boards but also lets me get a little deeper and see a skid flip reaction when it’s necessary. Definitely a versatile ball that should be in everyone’s arsenal.
The Hybrid version of the redemption is an excellent all around ball for medium patterns. Great length and recovery, I have been able to play straight up the boards and move deeper to open up the lane without any loss of carry along the way.
It is not often I say this, but the Redemption Hybrid is the must have in your bag and in my opinion the best ball of the Redemption series! What makes it even better is the Red, White, and Blue on the ball! The overall ball reaction and midlane reads is unbelievable. This is the perfect Hybrid to have in the bag, especially when your solid is grabbing a bit early, this ball will give you the extra length you need and not losing backend power. I drilled my Redemption Hybrid 55 x 4 3/4 x 35.
Talk about the total package, you are talking about the Hammer Redemption Hybrid. The Redemption Hybrid is a GORGEOUS red, white, and navy blue color. Combine the looks with a high performance coverstock and core and it’s all you can ask for in a bowling ball. The intent for the Redemption Hybrid is to fit in between the Redemption Solid and Redemption Pearl. This bowling ball also features DOT technology and an inner and outer core that is infused with carbon fiber.
I drilled my Redemption Hybrid with a slightly different pin up layout then my usual choice. Using a vector system I drilled this 5.5” x 4” x 2” which comes out to 50 x 5.5” x 35 using the dual angle method. I wanted thi bowling ball to be similar to the Brunswick Prism Hybrid which was discontinued as this ball was announced. This ball was a very pleasant surprise, for myself it yielded a more angular motion than I was expecting. The coverstock on this ball out of the box skates through the oil and is more responsive than I was expecting. I have really enjoyed this ball after hitting it lightly with a 2000 siaair pad by hand. It is a bowling ball I feel is very versatile and takes surface changes really well.
In comparison to other bowling balls in the Hammer line the Redemption Hybrid is the most angular Redemption bowling ball, for me. This ball reminds me very much of the Statement Hybrid for those who enjoyed the bowling balls from the EBI plant in Hopskinsville.
The Redemption Hybrid is a fantastic compliment between the Solid and Pearl in the same line. Out of the box It is a bit too clean through the front so I hit It with a light 2000 by hand. This unlocked the capabilities of this ball giving It a touch more traction in the mids than the pearl and a bit more pop down lane than the solid. When the solid is grabbing a little too early and the pearl is a touch too clean, the hybrid is where you want to be.
The red white and blue look awesome going down the lane
