Why I like the Pancake weight block.

I set this ball up with straight positive side weight and low top around 1 oz. In 1977 at the Miller Open in Milwaukee I was talking with Earl about what he liked on
oil at the time, and he said he used straight positive side with low top weight. I have used this in many balls over time. Shot two 300 games with this ball using that setup. I like the pancake weight block because of the smooth roll I can get without the flip action. Wish they made more balls like this one.

Great ball for a two hander!

Just picked up a NIB Razyr and love this ball! I'm a two handed no thumb lefty and it allows me to play straight on a THS. Plenty of hook down lane for me and man do the pins fly!

I hope that Hammer brings this ball back!

    Great Reaction

The ball gave me the reaction I was looking for without the flip
you get with stand up cores. I would set this ball up with 1 oz. top and 5/8 oz. positive side zero finger and thumb. I used this combination for years with great results. This ball worked great on the newer surfaces. Each manufacturer should have a pancake weight block ball with resin and urethane covers. They can also work as spare balls on heavy oil. I still use this ball today. I am left handed and this combination works well on the left side of the surface.
