I was very impressed with this ball. I drilled mine 75x5x20.
For me it roll a little early and still continuous on the back.
Compared to the Envy tour it’s going to be a little early and more total hook.
Had it drilled up exactly like my Arctic Vibe, to really start in hard mid-lane so it flips strong in the backend friction. Learned real fast that this ball has no margin for error and for the first time ever...I didn't get the new ball carry. First night in league, threw a 481 throwing only this ball (with a 207avg). Other 2 leagues on house shots, found this ball was just too high maintenance and had to be thrown dead perfect down to the board and with the same speed within .20 to blow the pocket up and still leave odd pins. Pulled the Arctic out on the same line and even with some misses in or out the ball came back. 3D never recovered or overhooked when thrown a board off in either direction. Sadly, this one is already sitting in the pro shop for sale...took a big $200 loss on it after drilling...
Drilled my 3-D Offset Assault with a 60x4.5x25 and this ball was smooth as Butter. This is a great ball for medium to heavy conditions . The way the ball reads the midlane and makes a predictable move to the pocket this ball can definitely be used on shorter patterns where there is decent volume. This ball is not as sharp motioned as the 3-D attack based on the Hk22 Cohesion Hybrid Cover but gets the traction needed in the oil and provides a smooth predictable move to the pocket. This ball was the first ball out my bag at league and with a consistent clean release I had to just line up and let it roll off the hand. Easy Peazy! Resulting in automatic Carry. When I helped the ball in the grip it definitely made a bigger motion. Compared to the original 3D Offset this ball definitely has a stronger move to the pocket and more traction in the oil. A great combination with the Effect and the Widow Mania.
January 16, 2025 was the release day for the new Hammer 3D Offset Assault, the 3rd in the line of the 3D Offset Hammers. The new Assault features the same High Rev Offset asymmetric core found in prior 3D Offsets wrapped by a bright red HK-22 cohesion hybrid cover. Box finish is 2000 Siaair. I've tried the Assault on fresh and leftover THS. The layout on the ball I used was 50 x 4 1/2 x 25.
To my eye, like prior 3D Offset releases, the motion with the Assault is earlier and forward off the spot. I think that with this cover/surface overall the Assault covers more boards than the prior ones. That being said, the motion to my eye is definitely rolly and forward off the spot. In testing the new Assault, I had to use a considerable amount of rotation to get the ball to respond properly as our house shot has lighter volume and longer distance. From all that I can see, the Assault is definitely a ball for the fresh on higher volumes of oil. I also think the Assault will excel on medium to shorter distance patterns.
As noted above, the Hammer 3D Offset Assault is available.. See your local pro shop for more information!
The Hammer 3-D Offset Assault is the latest and greatest in the 3-D Offset line delivering strength, versatility and hitting power. This ball is great on medium and heavier oil patterns. I find it comparable to the Effect Tour, in that it is the next ball to follow with after the Effect Tour is too much. Everyone will have a spot in their arsenal for this beauty. Well done Hammer!!!!
