Hammer Effect Tour

Every bowler needs that ball that they can rely on to do damage without causing too much trouble. They usually have the word Tour somewhere in the name. Web Tour, Obsession Tour, Envy Tour, and now the Effect Tour. This is the strongest over all Tour ball I've seen yet but with that same controllable rounded shape. I would call it a high-end asymmetric benchmark ball. It has a similar look to the Envy Tour with a little bigger footprint. For me, it is 3-4 more with my feet. I definitely like what I've seen so far.

The new Effect Tour is the best "Tour" type bowling ball released. I think the Effect Tour is a combination of the obsession tour and Envy Tour lines. It is the most controllable, smoothest, and hard hitting tour ball I have thrown. The effect Tour works the best on sport shot conditions, however it rolls pretty well on house shots with heavier volumes. The Effect Tour takes surface adjustments very well. I went with a stronger layout at 55 x 4 x 30. This layout gives me more control on flatter patterns. Again, this is by far the best Tour ball Hammer has released.

This is a release I was so excited about when it was first announced. First, because Hammer Tour editions have always rolled good for me. Second, because it looked identical to one of my all time favorites, the Web Tour.
I was right to be excited! This ball should be on top of your wishlist if you need something predictable and controllable even on the toughest conditions. This is the perfect ball to figure out what is going on on oilier tournament patterns.
If you need to control the backends on fresh, get one!
If you like the urethane type ball motion but don’t have enough hands to throw urethane, get one!
If you liked the envy tour, you will love this one! I might need to order a couple more of these!

The previous tour balls from Hammer were all great and very smooth options. This ball is that plus more powerful in my view. So far I've been able to play straighter or a bigger sweeping hook pretty easily. Drilled 60x4x40 and box surface it has not disappointed.

The smooth reaction and predictability of Hammer's previous Tour balls have been fantastic and it keeps getting better. The Obsession Tour and the Envy Tour have had much proven success at every level. The new Effect Tour will continue this legacy and provide a smoother roll in the front part of the lane and an aggressive, yet controllable move off the spot. This piece is perfect for medium to heavy oil patterns.
