Hammer came out with another awesome piece. The Special Effect is a shiny solid that slows down just enough in the mid lane to be predictable, but is very continuous down lane. That makes this ball special. It has HK22-cohesion on the cover and the Huntsman core inside. I shot 695 the first week opening all 3 tenth frames. Should have been much bigger series. Followed that up by shooting 793 the next week. This ball is a four color beauty with a citrus smell. This ball needs to be in everyone's arsenal.

The new Hammer Special Effect is a great add to the Effect line. The HK22 Cohesion Solid coverstock helps the ball pick up in the midlane and has an arcing motion to the pocket. Great ball to transition to when other solids are burning up early. This ball is very versatile on both house and sport patterns.

Words can’t express how good the Hammer Special Effect really is. Hammer has really outdone themselves once again. I had the opportunity to drill two of them, one 60 x 5 x 30 and the other 40 x 4 ¼ x 70. I’m super impressed with the versatility, predictability and shape with both layouts. Picked up my new Special Effect at 6:45 pm on Friday. Threw six practice balls...then threw a 600 series. With a 175 average, I was VERY happy. The biggest improvement...I only left two 10-pins in three games. Love this ball.
