Great fit between original hazmat and my asymmetrical balls, clean through the front and great shape in the mids
The Hammer Hazmat Solid is great compliment to the original Hazmat. The new solid is a great benchmark ball. It is very versatile on all lane conditions. I have used this ball on THS, medium, and long sport patterns. The cover takes adjustments very well. The Hazmat Solid really goes through the pins. It has very good midlane roll with very hard backend motion. It keeps the pins very low, which increases carry.
The Hazmat solid fits solidly in the middle of Hammer's lineup. This will act as a great starting benchmark. It's got more teeth than the original Hazmat, easily 4 boards stronger and earlier. For me it has more shape than an Envy Tour, but fits underneath the BW 3.0 in terms of flare and overall strength. Great option for starting a league night on a THS, or a good option for when asym cores are a bit too strong on tougher patterns. The layout on mine is 90x5x25 and it flares a good amount, not too much and it shapes great, which is what I've come to expect from the Hazmat core!
I've always been a fan of Symmetrical Solid cover balls as someone who throws a pretty straight angle. This ball fits right into my game perfectly, especially when down lane is tighter and I need a ball that starts up earlier. When it does start to hook, the motion is very gradual and smooth, perfect for more speed dominate players. It's my go-to either right out of the gate or as my earlier option off of the Hammer Effect.
With the very high differential core, and strong solid cover-stock, this is by far the strongest symmetrical ball I’ve ever thrown. This ball allows me have a great option on a fresh pattern, without creating a motion that is too violent that you may see from an asymmetrical ball. I would put this ball as a step down from a Black Widow 3.0. As compared to the other brands, I would say this ball is similar to a Track Stealth, but the Hazmat Solid’s cover is stronger.
