Scorpion Low Flare

Smooth. Predictable. Deadly.

Hammer is always looking at adding balls to the line to fill gaps and make it the game’s most versatile and complete line. Low flare cores have been a staple for Hammer, and currently, the Envy Tour balls are extremely popular, but we haven’t had a symmetric low flare in a while. We are excited to add the Scorpion Low Flare to the lineup. Removing the flip puck from the LED 3.0 core found inside the Scorpion Sting lowered the differential and flare potential, making this ball a perfect fit for Hammer. The Scorpion Low Flare will be a smooth and predictable ball motion, driven by the core numbers and the Semtex Hybrid cover, finished at 2000 Siaair. All styles will love the Scorpion Low Flare; higher rev rates will use it on anything, and lower rev rate players will find it useful on tricky conditions, and when the lanes are transitioning, either way, you won’t want to show up to bowling without one.

Best Low Flare Option Out!

My first intial thought was wow this ball is earlier than i thought it would be. Let it lane shine up and watch it come to life on house. Then on sport, it take on more surface just as well. Great smooth, predictable ball motion that has allowed me to keep the ball in front of me longer. Dont miss out on this ball! Get it today!

Smooth and Controllable

This ball reminds me of the Web Tour Edition. The Web Tour Edition had a little stronger cover and big sense of direction change. The Scorpion Low Flare has the same big sense of directional change but with a more consistent cover to keep it in play.

Scorpion Low Flare

Scorpion Low Flare. I can’t say enough about this gem. I’ve only used it so far on a very challenging Earl Anthony pattern and then the pro am with the fans after on a house shot. I was able to use the Scorpion Low Flare through the last 5 games of qualifying and 4 games in the cashers round. I’m looking forward to using the Low Flare on many medium/heavy oil patterns as it is so smooth getting to the spot but responds nicely to any shape you need to create as the games go on. Don’t sleep on this one!!

Great Ball!

This ball is amazing. It handles the dry boards with ease and doesn't hook a ton off the dry in the back end. I have shot honor scores already with this ball and is a staple in my bag. I will be buying a 2nd one in the near future.

5 stars because I think it will grow on me

I picked this one up last week. It is in some ways a little stronger then I expected on a house shot. That however may be cause the lanes where I bowl my house league are pretty shot. It did however give me what I was hoping for in my PBA experience league in a different center. Basically it is a ball down option for me when my Envy (the original) and or my BW 2.0 hybrid are just too strong on some of those medium length sport patterns.

The only reason the title of my review says it will probably grow on me. Is because almost every other bowling ball I currently own is asymmetrical. The Scorpion low flare is symmetrical. Which is not a bad thing. It does take a little restraining of my brain that a symmetrical ball has a different shape then a asymmetrical ball. I haven't really thrown a symmetrical bowling ball regularly since the Burgundy in 2014. Which I still have, but it looks like I have been bowling in a parking lot with it for the last 10 years. It was time to add a new symmetrical bowling ball to my bowling arsenal. Hence one of the two reasons I purchased the Scorpion low flare. The other was after doing a little research. My gut instinct tells me it will fit between my Envy and my BW 2.0 hybrid. So far so good.
